This week in class we pono and i had to build a device that could keep an egg safe while dropping it from the top of Akahi (super high). Our egg drop device consisted of a very complicated design. We figured that the cone would be a perfect device. The cone would be bottom heavy cause there was more paper at the bottom. The egg would sit nicely on a bed of feathers and tissue paper. Finally the four wings would keep the cone up right and slow the decent. Well, we thought wrong.! As soon as the wind caught our device, the cone flipped and landed egg first. I think that if the cone were not as top heavy, we would have had a better chance of survival.
I loved your blog Kory. I really enjoyed the content as well as the pictures. Even though you broke our egg, this blog post made up for it
ReplyDeleteI really thought your design was going to work. I thought it would have just floated to the bottom.
